Mrs. Phidelia Eward


Mrs. Phidelia Eward, aged 80 years, died at the home of her daughterPhidelia Eward Obitury, Mrs. Hier, near Geneva, at 2 o’clock Saturday morning of diseased incidental to old age. Her funeral services were held at 10 o’clock at her daughter’s home this morning. Her remains were brought here for burial in the South Park cemetery this afternoon. Mrs. Eward was born Feb. 24, 1823, in Switzerland county this State. Shortly after her birth her family removed to this county and settled near Kingston and until a few years ago she resided in this county continuously. She was a sister of T.B. and W.S. Peery, of this city, and of Mrs. Mary Glass, of Adams.

Amanda King


Mrs. Lizzie Truesdell, of Los Angeles, California, will arrive here at 4:05 this afternoon with the remains of her mother, Mrs. Amanda King, who dies two months ago in Los Angeles. The remains will be taken to Schultz’s Undertaking House on West Main street where a short funeral service to which intimate friends of the deceased will be invited after which the body will be interred in the South Park Cemetery. In the even the train is late the interment will not take place until tomorrow morning.
